Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you submit cases, contact us, or create a lab portal account. This includes practice name, contact details, and clinical case data (patient initials or IDs as provided by referring dentists). We do not collect full patient names, dates of birth, or health information beyond what is clinically necessary to produce the prescribed appliance.
How we use information
Case data is used solely for the production and delivery of prescribed dental prosthetics. Contact information is used for case communication, billing, and operational correspondence. We do not use your data for marketing purposes without explicit consent.
Data sharing
For fixed prosthetic cases, prescription and case data is shared with Epic Dental Studio (Utah, USA) for fabrication purposes. No patient identifiable information is shared beyond initials or case reference numbers. We do not sell or share data with any other third parties.
Data retention
Case records are retained for a minimum of 7 years as required for professional dental laboratory practice. Contact and billing records are retained for 7 years in compliance with Bermuda financial record requirements.
Security
Case submissions are transmitted via the encrypted LabZona portal. Email communications should not include full patient identifying information. If you have a security concern regarding case data, contact us immediately.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of data we hold about your practice. Contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of BDS services after a policy update constitutes acceptance.
